Does CBD Get You High?

Unfortunately, many people are missing out on the benefits provided by CBD because they are worried that using a product from the cannabis plant will get them high.

The Difference Between Hemp And Marijuana

There is a great deal of confusion and misinformation regarding hemp and marijuana. One common misconception is that there is no difference between the two plants. You could compare the similarities of hemp and marijuana to the similarities of an orange and a lemon. An orange and a lemon are both citrus fruits. However, an orange has more Vitamin C and less citric acid, while a lemon has less Vitamin C but more citric acid. Hemp and marijuana are also similar to each other but have some distinct differences. While both plants are part of the Cannabis Sativa plant species, they have drastically different amounts of THC. Hemp contains more CBD and less THC, whereas marijuana contains more THC and less CBD.

What Is THC?

THC is the compound that is responsible for the “high” associated with marijuana use. While hemp contains less than 0.3% THC, most marijuana has over 20% THC. For this reason, hemp-derived CBD has zero ability to get you high. In fact, CBD is even considered an anti-psychotic; If you’re “high” and use CBD, it will actually make you less high. Because CBD does not make you high, it can be used daily and at any time needed.
